Lasting Power of Attorney (LPA)
Our doctors are registered Certificate Issuers under the Office of the Public Guardian, authorised to certify Lasting Powers of Attorney.
An LPA is a legal document that lets you appoint a trusted person (your “donee”) to make decisions on your behalf should you lose mental capacity — ensuring your wishes are always respected.
Who Can Make an LPA?
Anyone aged 21 and above with mental capacity. Especially recommended for older adults planning ahead, those with conditions that may affect mental capacity, and anyone wishing to ensure their assets and affairs are managed per their wishes.
