Medical Check-up
Singapore’s Ministry of Manpower (MOM) requires a medical examination as part of the work pass application process. These checks help ensure all workers entering Singapore are free from communicable diseases.
What is Checked
- Historical conditions — mental illness, epilepsy, tuberculosis, chronic asthma, hypertension, and other chronic diseases
- Present medical condition — cardiovascular and respiratory systems, mental state, chest X-ray, blood tests, and HIV screening
Important Notes
Only use authorised and legitimate clinics familiar with MOM requirements. Misrepresenting your medical condition has serious legal and personal health consequences. Other medical requirements (driver’s licence renewals, pre-employment checks) are also available during the same visit.
